141 - Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District

Amateur Floats

Next up is the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District’s “HAPPIEST DISTRICT ON EARTH” float, featuring our Board of Education
President Craig Bueno,
Clerk Chuck Rogge, and
Board Trustees Kate Runyon, Chris Wenzel, and Anne White.
We also have Superintendent Kelly Bowers,
Assistant Superintendents Cindy Alba and Chris Van Schaack, and
Chief Business Official Susan Kinder.
Joining them are other members of Senior Cabinet.
Today’s theme is Frontier Land, in recognition of our rich culture and heritage.
The District thanks everyone who voted in favor of Measure J in last Tuesday's election.

 

 

142 - Triple Threat Performing Arts
1st Place -
Novelty Unit (Junior)

Triple Threat Performing Arts is currently in its 11th year serving performers in the Livermore Valley.
This year they will be holding their annual recital on June 18th at the Dublin Performing Arts Center and this summer they are hosting a DANCE FOR FREE session for all local dancers to come out and try dance at no cost.
Their mission is to provide students of all ages with the knowledge, appreciation and skills to enjoy dance for a lifetime.
Triple Threat is a place where students of all ages and levels can learn everything from ballet, jazz, and tap to hip-hop, modern, and musical theater training.
Triple Threat has been nominated for a Dance Industry award four years in a row and has taken home the top honors in both Tap and Jazz at this prestigious event.

143 - Rear Admiral C.W. Parks Sea Cadet Color Guard

Color Guard (Military)

Here we have the award-winning Sea Cadet color guard from Rear Admiral C. W. Parks Battalion in Dublin, Ca.
The Sea Cadet's mission is to develop interest and ability in seamanship and seagoing skills, instill virtues of good citizenship and strong moral principles in each cadet, and expose them to the prestige of public service and a variety of career paths through hands-on training with our nation's armed services.
The Sea Cadet program is open to youths 11 - 17 years old.

 

 

144 - Livermore Post 47 American Legion and the Branch 287 Fleet Reserve Association
The American Legion is a veterans' organization chartered by Congress in 1919.
It is committed to mentoring and sponsoring youth programs in the community, advocating honor and patriotism, promoting a strong national security and continued devotion to fellow service members and veterans.
Livermore Post 47 is one of the oldest in California.
Fleet Reserve Association is a congressionally chartered, veterans' organization that represents the interests of the Sea Service community before the U.S. Congress. Its membership is comprised of current and former enlisted members of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.
Livermore Branch 287 was formed in 1967. All veterans are welcome to join.

 

 

 

 

145 - US Military Armed Forces Recruiters
Here we have the Viet Nam Veterans Military Motorcycle Escort Team.
This team escorts overseas, returning active military personnel and their families, from the airport where they arrive to their home.

The Escorts are followed by the Marine Color Guard and members of the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy Recruiting offices here in Livermore.
These active duty military personnel volunteer in our community with sports programs at all five high schools here in the Tri-Valley and at Las Positas College.
Let them know how much we support our military here in Livermore with a big salute to all active and veteran military personnel represented here.


 

 

 

146 - Isings Culligan Water
Hey Culligan Man!!! Ising’s Culligan water was established in Livermore in 1947 by Earl Ising. The original Railroad Avenue location has undergone renovations and upgrades through the years, including a bottled water plant.
Ising’s Culligan continues to be a small family business with less than 40 employees and is a proud supporter of the Livermore Rotary!
Ising’s Culligan specializes in all types of water treatment including bottle water delivery, bottle-free cooler, drinking water systems, water softeners, and commercial and industrial systems.

The 3 Stooges Fan Club has been a part of the Rodeo Parade since 1973.
They include several direct descendants of our own Robert Livermore.
In this election year, don't worry about "Hillary" and "Donald" - vote "Curly" for President!
