#56 - 1919 Ford Model T Chemical Fire Truck
This tiny vehicle is Livermore’s first motorized fire truck. The Chief of Livermore’s Volunteer Fire Department was a mechanic in a garage on 2nd Street and he built this vehicle on a 1919 Ford Model-T automobile frame. It has been restored to operating condition by a team of Heritage Guild volunteers. Jay Morris is today’s driver and his passenger is Christine Thompson. |

David “Stilts” Volponi is a Livermore native, born and raised. His Family settled here in the 1890s. He took his first steps here nearly 50 years ago, since then he has performed around the world in over 1500 locations. |

Livermore Filipino-American Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The organization was founded in 1967 by Filipino-Americans in the Tri-Valley. The Livermore group has been giving out scholarships since 1973 to deserving high school seniors in Livermore. |
