Cemex is a building materials company producing ready-mix concrete, cement, and aggregates. Cemex’s mission is to improve the wellbeing of those it serves through innovative building solutions, sustainability efforts, and community support.

 

 

 
#89 - Wheels (LvAmVyTrAth) Rideo Bus
Owned by Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority and "Wheels, this 1966 "Rideo" bus was restored to its former glory using federal funds. Celebrating 40 years of service, we proudly present this Livermore treasure, supported by Councilmember's Branning and Wang.
   
#90 - Livermore/Pleasanton Fire Department With 1944 Mack Fire Engine
1945 Mack: One of Pleasanton’s original motorized Fire Engines, this is a 1945 Mack. Before engines like this were purchased, Pleasanton’s hose carts were drug through the streets by horses or the firefighters themselves. Pleasanton’s original hose cart can be seen at Fire Department Headquarters on Nevada Street, and this antique 1945 Mack Fire Engine can be seen at Station 2 by the Stoneridge Mall.

LPFD Fire Truck: Here is one of Livermore-Pleasanton’s finest Fire Trucks. It has a 100’ ladder to rescue people in the City’s tallest buildings. The firefighter in the back steers the rear-end to allow access into the tightest turns. This Truck carries a full array of; firefighting, rescue, and medical equipment,and is staffed by 4 firefighters. The Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters respond to over 17,000 emergencies per year.
