October Sky Homer Hickam has no reason to believe he’ll escape what seems to be his
inevitable future as a coal miner in West Virginia. Then the Soviet
satellite Sputnik flies over the October sky and changes his life. Despite
his father’s dream for him to follow him into the mines, Homer sets out to
build his own rockets with his loyal band of friends. Their ability to
overcome mistakes and achieve success inspires the whole town to believe
that, even in Coalwood, there’s nothing wrong with shooting for the stars.

NT Live: Hamlet Directed by Lyndsey Turner Benedict
Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, Doctor Strange) plays the title role of
Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Now seen by over 900,000 people worldwide, the
original broadcast returns to cinemas to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th
birthday. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart.
Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralyzed by the task ahead, Hamlet
rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his
sanity and the security of the state.
