Their plan for relaxation is soon derailed when they cross paths with a young and mischievous runaway boy. When they return him to his aunt (Kathryn Grayson), an ambitious singer trying to make her way in the music business, they both fall in love with her. Joe allows her to believe Clarence can help her secure a coveted audition, setting off a complex series of plot twists. Arlo Guthrie
Born with a guitar in one hand and a harmonica in the other, Arlo Guthrie’s timeless stories and songs carry on the legacy of his father, songwriter Woody Guthrie. Arlo was performing in public by age 13 and was soon involved in crafting the music that shaped the 1960s. His groundbreaking hit “Alice’s Restaurant” helped foster the social consciousness and activism of that era and remains relevant today.

A multi-instrumentalist with diverse talents, Guthrie plays the piano, six- and twelve-string guitars, harmonica, and a dozen other instruments. With his natural gifts as a storyteller, songs, stories, and laughter are woven into his intimate live performances. Back by popular demand and joined by his daughter Sarah Lee Guthrie, Arlo’s unmistakable guitar, rich voice, and warm personable stage presence continue to endear him to generations of fans.

A spectacular documentary event tours through St. Petersburg’s State Hermitage Museum, a wonderful complex of buildings with the largest collection of paintings in the world, to retrace two and a half centuries. Audiences pass through the magnificent interiors that provided a meeting point for foreign artists, architects and intellectuals creating connections through art and culture.

The history of the museum is marked by the acquisitions of the enlightened Empress Catherine II, whose personality has continued to fascinate art historians and critics over the centuries. National Theatre Film Series National Theatre Film Series Presents Small Island
Andrea Levy’s Orange Prize-winning novel Small Island comes to life in an epic new theatre adaptation. Experience the play in cinemas, filmed live on stage as part of National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday. Small Island embarks on a journey from Jamaica to Britain, through the Second World War to 1948 – the year the HMT Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury, England. The play follows three intricately connected stories. Hortense yearns for a new life away from rural Jamaica, Gilbert dreams of becoming a lawyer, and Queenie longs to escape her Lincolnshire roots. Hope and humanity meet stubborn reality as the play traces the tangled history of Jamaica and the UK. A company of 40 actors take to the stage of the National Theatre in London in this timely and moving story.
