The Triplets of Belleville
Kidnapped by mysterious, square-shouldered henchmen, a Tour de France
cyclist is spirited across the ocean to the teeming metropolis of
Belleville. In hot pursuit, his near-sighted grandmother and faithful dog
are taken in by a trio of eccentric jazz-era divas, who lead them to an
underground speakeasy and the chase is on! The score of this beloved
animated French film evokes Le Hot Jazz of 1920’s Paris and will be
performed live by Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville with composer Benoît
Charest.
