168 - Flying Fillies Drill Team
Here comes the Flying Fillies Drill Team who call Basso's Arena in Livermore their home.
This team competes all over the western states.
They also enjoy spending time together not only as a drill team but as a family.

169 - KAT Country 103 With Pumpkin the Miniature Horse

KATM, KAT Country 103 radio continues country favorites and fun!
Home of DJ Walker in the Morning,
Mid-days with Nikki Thomas and Jaimee Lee, and your afternoon ride home with Scott Simon!
Jaimee Lee is walking KAT Country's official miniature horse "Pumpkin."
Stop by the KAT Country booth at the rodeo and enter to win tickets to see Kenny Chesney, Miranda Limbert, and Sam Hunt in concert at Levi's Stadium.

 

 

 

 

170 - Alameda County Cattlewomen, Wow that Cow!
Alameda County Cattlewomen are celebrating their 60th Anniversary actively promoting beef and educating the public on how cattle enhance the environment through effective grazing, are used in household products and pharmaceuticals, plus provide us with tasty and nutritional beef.
This year they teamed up with the Livermore Ag program to put on another Ag Adventure day for 1200 third grade students.
Students had the opportunity to see both beef and dairy cattle up close. They also saw horses used on the ranch and some tried their hand at roping

 

 

 

171 - Aahmes Shriners-on-Parade
Welcome the AAHMES SHRINERS ON PARADE:
(A) The Shriners Color Guard and marching patrol has been in existence since1910. This unit is one of many that support the Shriners Hospitals for Children in North America. Captain of the color guard this year is Tom Slivinski.

B) Aahmes Shrine Elective Divan (Dye Van) These are the elected leaders for the Aahmes Shriners for this year. The Potentate this year is the illustrious Sir Kay Dunn.
(C) The Legion of Honor is a unit composed of veterans from World War 2, The Korean Conflict, Viet Nam, the Gulf War, Somalia, and Rwanda Wars.
These gentlemen have "Served Our Country". The legion of honor is led by commander Jerry Wachowiak.
(D) Novkeps. The Novkeps are a working unit that takes care of the novices that are about to become Shriners. Captain of the Novkeps for this year is Lloyd Garbutt.

(E) The Past Masters. The past masters were the leaders of their Masonic Lodges. They now act as a liaison between the Masons and the Shriners. President of the past masters this year is Greg Thompson.

(F) The Shrine Mounted Patrol. The members of the Aahmes shrine mounted patrol are riding matched Tobiano Paint Horses.
Take special note of the silver saddles with green coronas.
The mounted patrol has been riding in parades, rodeos, and charity events for many years. This includes: the Rose Parade in Pasadena, The Grand Nationals at the Cow Palace, and at President Jimmy Carter's Inaugural Parade.
President of the mounted patrol this year is Tim Wilbur.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

172 - Tri-Valley Ice Rink
Please welcome members of Tri-Valley Ice Rink of Livermore.
It is an ice skating rink dedicated to family fun of all ages. They offer public skate every day, along with birthday parties and skating lesions.
They also offer beginning hockey leagues to advanced teams of all ages.
Check them out at 6611 Preston Avenue here in Livermore.

 

 

 

173 - Cresta Blanca Service unit of the Girl Scouts of America
Girl Scouts of Northern, CA, Cresta Blanca Service Unit, serves almost 800 girls and their families in Livermore.
From Daisies to Ambassadors, the mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character.
With money earned during nut and candy sales in the Fall, cookie sales in the Spring, plus other fundraising events, these girls are able to go camping in Pescadero, surfing off the coast of Santa Cruz, and go zip-lining in Fairfax.
Earning the Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn, opens up employment and college opportunities galore.
