Comment : Hello
Nale Family,
Thank you for the photos of the military convoy. Was unable
to see it in person and am delighted to be able to see it on
your site. I especially like the photos of the passengers in
jeeps taking your picture as you photograph them!
Thanks for all you do! |

Comment : I lived
in Livermore from 1942 until 1945. I was Noreen Johnson, then.
Attended St. Michael's School from 4th grade until the 2nd half
of 8th grade. The war was over and sadly, we had to leave
Livermore.
My dad was first stationed at the Naval Air Station in
Livermore, and when he was transferred to other duties, my
mother, sister and I remained in Livermore.
I have nothing but fond memories of the time we lived there.
When we had to leave, my dad was pretty disgusted with my mom
and me, as we cried all the way to our destination.
Recognize some, but not all names of the businesses. Lived at
256 McLeod, only 1/2 block from Palm Ballroom, which I believe,
served as a roller skating rink for a time.
Don't know if any of my old friends still live there, but
certainly would be interested to know if they are. |

Comment : I
am going to be in Pleasanton for a couple weeks and have been
scanning the interweb for places to eat and things to do. The
experience of finding page after page of empty lists or lists of
1 or 2 eateries had left me quite frustrated. It was so very
nice to find a resource that looks a lot more complete than any
I have seen to date. Thanks for the great work! |

Comment : This
is the BEST Conversion spreadsheet on the internet. I worked for
GE Lighting in Cleveland, Ohio, USA a few years and first found
this spreadsheet. I then lost it somehow and it has taken me two
years to find it again.
I will never lose this bookmark again.
Well Done!
Cheers, Liam |

Comment : I
think that this is a great service for the community. I am an
amateur photog and you were nice enough to post a few of my
parade pictures. I spend a large amount of time in the school
arena with a camera and would not mind sending you photos of the
various events I get to. Is that something that you are
interested in? I don't have time to do stories that go along so
that may not be very useful, but...? |
