Tom Rigney and Flambeau
Tom Rigney is one of the premier Roots Music fiddle players on the planet. His band – Tom Rigney and Flambeau – specializes in blazing Cajun two-steps, low-down Blues, funky New Orleans grooves, Boogie Woogie piano, and heartbreakingly beautiful ballads and waltzes. Much of the repertoire is composed by Rigney, but they mix in a few classics from the Cajun/New Orleans songbook. Along the way you may pick up a trace of Rigney’s Irish roots, or echoes of Eastern Europe – it just makes the musical gumbo that much tastier.

Flambeau showcases Rigney’s fiery, virtuoso fiddling, his charismatic stage presence, and his range and originality as a composer. He and Flambeau have forged a unique sound that blends American Roots styles into something original and HOT – mixing irresistible grooves with deep musicality and spectacular soloing. Rigney’s high-energy showmanship pulls the audience into his performances and makes them feel they are a part of the music and the show.

Hot Peas 'n Butter
They might not like to eat their peas, but children have a hard time resisting the engaging mix of Latin jazz, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, folk and rock music served up by Hot Peas N Butter. Their innovative music and energetic style has won them four Parents’ Choice Awards since they were founded in New York more than a decade ago. Often seen on Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon TV, the multi-cultural band is known for their joyful, upbeat bi-lingual music and an interactive stage style that inspires audiences of all ages to clap and sing along in both Spanish and English. With eight award-winning albums and numerous music videos, Hot Peas ‘n Butter makes new friends everywhere they go.

Named for the playground game they played as kids, Hot Peas ‘n Butter incorporates many languages into their performances – English, Spanish, French, Korean and Hebrew just to name a few. Songs like “Number 1” and their signature Latin beat tracks “Somos Familia,” “Amistad,” “Que Llueva,” and “Round the World” enjoy radio play nationwide. Hot Peas ‘N Butter make it impossible not to respond to what The Los Angeles Times called “a satisfying mix of good-for-you messages, infectious tunes and a hot, multicultural groove.”

Their rootsy 2018 album “Back to the Land” celebrates our connections to one another as a society, as well as our connection to our planet and its health and features special guests, Laurie Berkner , Dan Zanes, and Peter Yarrow.

Hot Peas ‘N Butter was founded by lifelong friends and professional musicians Danny Lapidus and Francisco Cotto in 2000 when they were inspired to bring to other families the joy they found in sharing music with their own children. Born in Belgium, Lapidus grew up in Brooklyn and met Cotto, a native of Puerto Rico who moved to the Bronx at age seven, at the High School of Music and Art in New York City.

The 5 Browns
The 5 Browns are delivering on their dream to wake up classical music by introducing it to the widest, largest and most excited audience they can find. Whether performing individually or together in various combinations from duo to complex five-piano arrangements, The 5 Browns reveal a deep connection to the intent of their material, while bringing a fresh energy and dynamic character to the color and tonal spectrum of their sound. Their performance is a not-to-be-missed immersive musical experience.

Ryan, Melody, Gregory, Deondra and Desirae Brown all attended New York’s Juilliard School. In fact, they became the first family of five siblings ever accepted simultaneously. As a group, they first came to attention in 2002 and have since performed extensively on stage, film and television. In 2010 they were featured in a PBS television special “The 5 Browns in Concert” and made their debut at Carnegie Hall in 2013. Each of the 5 Browns first three CDs reached #1 on Billboard Magazine’s Classical Album Chart. Their most recent album, “Christmas with the 5 Browns,” was just released last December.

The quintet commissioned a five-piano concerto by famed composer Nico Mühly which premiered in 2011 at the Ravinia Festival with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro James Conlon.

In addition to touring, The 5 Browns are published writers. Their book, Life Between the Keys, a lighthearted collection of personal stories, was published in 2009. All five siblings received honorary doctorates from Utah Valley University in 2019. The 5 Browns are exclusive Steinway Artists.

DLUX Puppets - Alice in Wonderland
With remarkable puppetry and clever digital scenery, the classic tale of Alice’s journey through the marvelous world of the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts becomes a fun musical adaptation for all ages.

In this visually engaging production by the nationally-recognized DLUX Puppet Company, all of the characters who encounter Alice are intricately engineered life-size puppets, hand-built and voiced by founder Derek Lux. Derek is a multi-talented performer who originally began building the puppets while he was still starring in “Beach Blanket Babylon” in San Francisco. His wife, second grade teacher Lauren Lux, is DLUX’ education director and has developed a performance activity kit for students who attend the show. “Alice in Wonderland” returns to the Bankhead Theater by popular demand after a sold out show last February.

While the production is designed to also teach children how to use the power of their words, thoughts and feelings in a positive way, above all else, DLUX Puppet’s “Alice in Wonderland” is a feast for the eyes and an afternoon of genuine family fun.

Funny Women of a Certain Age
As seen on a Showtime special, Funny Women of a Certain Age, is a show straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: women that have seen it all. They’ve raised children both on and off the road with big hairy club bouncers cradling their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don’t want to use a blacklight on anything. They’ve been told women aren’t funny, and have been asked to trade sexual favors for work. Trust us, they have A LOT to say, and they say it hysterically.

Funny Women of Certain Age premiered in September 2017 at the Cinder Block Comedy Festival and was a featured show in the 2018 New York Comedy Festival. The show has a monthly residency at the Kraine Theatre in NYC and has played to sold out crowds around the country.

Damn Yankees - Tri-Valley Repertory Theater
Words and Music by: Richard Adler and Jerry Ross
Book by: George Abbott and Douglass Wallop

Based on the novel, The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant by Douglass Wallop, Damn Yankees the Broadway mega-hit and winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, hits it out of the park! The winning score by Adler and Ross and a devilish book by George Abbot have made this sporty musical comedy a true American classic.

Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd, trades his soul to the Devil, also known as Mr. Applegate, for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life that he's left behind. Joe ultimately outsmarts Applegate, returns to his former self and shepherds the Senators to the World Series.

Light, fast-paced and devilishly clever, Damn Yankees is a homerun hit, featuring all-American subject matter and an irreverent sense of humor. The perfect choice for a high school's spring musical or community theatre production, Damn Yankees is a wicked, romantic comedy, sure to please.
