Capitol Steps
Returning for their ninth annual evening of side-splitting political satire, the members of Capitol Steps combine experience on the Hill with musical, acting, improv and sheer comedic talent in an equal opportunity skewering of modern day politics. The only group in America that attempts to be funnier than Congress, they never fail to find humor in the latest headlines, scandals and videos. Given today’s gridlock, a Capitol Steps show may be the only thing capable of winning bipartisan support!

Ooooh-Tubas! To be precise, Sotto Voce consists of two tubas and two euphoniums—all played by four acknowledged masters of low brass. The group has performed for DVFA in the past to the delight of our audiences. The premiere professional quartet of its kind, Sotto Voce enthusiastically challenges preconceived notions about what tubas can do by composing, arranging, and commissioning virtuosic new works.

Combining his own compositions with some of the greatest music of the era, Lemmon tells a heart-wrenching, ultimately heart-warming, story that will make you laugh, cry, and then laugh some more.
