Livermore Wine Country Festival
Much of the below information is from 2005.
In it’s 15th year, this celebration of everything Livermore has evolved into the largest Wine Festival in the Tri-Valley. This year we will be highlighting over 20 wineries in tasting locations up and down First Street. New to the festival for 2006 we have added a tasting pavilion at the Flag Pole Plaza area at First and Livermore Avenue. The pavilion will highlight six of our premium wine producers in a more upscale environment with lawn, seating and it’s own entertainment stage, where acoustic guitars will serenade our guests while they meet the winemakers and taste some of the best wines of the Livermore Valley.

Our new Streetscape project on First between Livermore Avenue and L will be a definite must see location. With trellises and garden areas in bloom, excellent boutique shops with one of a kind treasures to discover and restaurants with their outdoor seating, our downtown is ready to make your festival visit a fabulous experience.

We will once again have over 200 arts and crafts booths, featuring many local artisans. The Main Stage will be a celebration of local talent with everything from Jazz fusion, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock and Country Western. The family fun area will feature games, activities and a Community Stage showcasing our talented young dancers, gymnasts and more.

NBC11 will be hosting “Meal, No Meal” competitions and the Lifestyle Pavilion will feature the Author of The Passionate Olive; 101 Uses for Olive Oil.

Portions of 1st, 2nd, J, K, and L streets will be closed in the downtown area.
