This event begins with a parade down First Street at 6:00 followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Mill's Square (1st & Livermore)
Santa will also be available after the parade.

  • Handel: "Hallelujah Chorus" from Messiah (audience "sing-it-yourself")

The Pastorale from Corelli's "Christmas Concerto" sets the scene for the holiday season. In his Second Symphony, Tchaikovsky delights in the folk songs of the Ukraine, which was known in his day as "Little Russia." Featured soloist is Helene Wickett, whose orchestral appearances include performances in Europe and Latin America as well as the United States. Help celebrate the holiday season yourself by joining in as the audience sings Handel's mighty "Hallelujah" chorus. (Vocal sheet music will be provided.)

Seasonal carols and peaceful lullabies are our holiday gift to you. Highlighting the program is San Francisco composer Conrad Susa's Carols and Lullabies, based on traditional Spanish carols. Stephen Paulus' exciting Nativity Carols, accompanied by harp, oboe, marimba and guitar enhances the Latin theme. There will be an opportunity for you to sing along too, so don't miss this very popular concert!

Elegant Tea and Fashion Show at Museum on Main
The beautiful museum building, constructed in 1914 with funds raised by the Pleasanton Women’s Improvement Club, will be the setting for this refined, yet lively, event. Make it a special time for mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers and friends. Enjoy a graceful afternoon at beautifully decorated tables, enjoying tea, tea sandwiches, savories and desserts, and a fashion show of clothes for women and children. There will be an opportunity drawing for prizes. The gift shop will have a grand opening with new history-related and nostalgia items including history-theme crafts kits, wooden toys and more. The museum has a small line of antiques and collectibles available for purchase.
