As the students in the audience "meet" the influential persons in Braidie's life, they witness the thoughts, struggles and emotions that they themselves face on a daily basis. Good Friday

Requiem at Good Friday Service

A special feature in this year’s service will be a complete performance of the Requiem, as composed by Gabriel Fauré, performed by the Sanctuary Choir and accompanied by a chamber orchestra and organ. The orchestra members hail from the San Francisco orchestra as well as many regional and local ensembles. This will prove to be a rare treat for those living in the Valley, as an opportunity to hear this wonderful setting of the Requiem Mass, sung within the embrace of one of Christendom’s most important celebrative/meditative services. Included in the evening will be time following the service to light votive candles on the communion table and experience time for personal introspection. This is such a tumultuous time in our world and we encourage all to come and experience the “eternal light of peace” as highlighted in the text of the Requiem. We welcome those of all faiths, and those who would enjoy experiencing the wonderful music in this special setting.
